On Monday, we did Umar’s full senior session. You may remember his earlier rep session from a month ago. We walked around City Island and downtown Harrisburg and found great doors, alleys and parking garages to shoot in! Then after our outdoor shoot, we headed to the studio for more pictures and the necessary yearbook shot. Of course, I gave Umar the standard headshot but had to have fun too, hence the black & white shot I deem the Wheatie’s box/Nike shot. Here’s only a handful of many images. Oh and to get that stairway shot, a lens was sacrificed

Back From the Beach/Part 1

Just returned from a mini vacation to one of my Favorite beaches with my Husband. We stayed at a wonderful B&B that was said to be haunted (actually the exact floor that we stayed on). Being a Ghost fanatic, I tried in vain to witness and capture a spirit on “film” but not one was in residence at the time of our stay:( The weather was hot and perfect for the beach and I am a nice shade of mocha because of it! I love the serenity that the beach brings me or maybe it was because our kids were with their grandparents for a week? Anyway, here are some postcard images that I brought back sans ghostly orbs!

I had the pleasure of photographing a wonderful baby belly this past Saturday. This is going to be the first child for Misty and Harold and they are beyond excited. They all ready know they are having a boy and bought some cool blue sneakers for him! Since the rain held out, we traipsed through Boiling Springs and then up to the studio for a variety of images. Here are a few sneak peeks. Can’t wait to photograph Baby W in a few weeks:)

Kate & Matt/Newville Wedding Photographer

Last Saturday I had the honor of photographing the wedding of Kate and Matt at a lovely residence in Newville. With barely any shade, the heat showed no mercy but couldn’t wilt the happiness of the day. Kate and Matt are outdoors people and this wedding reflected them perfectly from barefeet to the venue to the canoe that was a gift from friends and relatives. By the way, I have to share what was written on the guest sign in picture:

Marriage is Like Canoeing

You Have to:

-Communicate

-Work Together

-Listen to each other

-Know when to Stop

-Glide past the rocks(obstacles)

-Embrace the rapids and work through them together

-Stop to enjoy your surroundings

And always GO WITH THE FLOW!

Each of the bridesmaids, including the flowergirl, wore silk sarongs from The Dancing Skirt that Kate expertly tied herself. She could do it with her eyes closed!

I had the pleasure of photographing Umar’s rep session yesterday. We really didn’t think the weather was going to cooperate but it turned out to be beautiful, although windy, for his shoot. Thankfully, we didn’t have to worry about his hair blowing in his face, mine was a different story! Here are a few sneak peek’s from the session…

Valerie wanted to give her husband a unique birthday gift and thought a boudoir album filled with gorgeous images of her would be a fantastic idea. I couldn’t agree more! I love it when women are comfortable in their own skin and it shows. I think all women any shape and size should do this for themselves and I am betting their hubbies or fiances wouldn’t mind either:) Can’t wait to hear about his reaction. By the way, Valerie is the proud mom of 3 kids:) And thanks to Gia from Dulcis Salon for her awesome makeup skills! These were all shot in our new boudoir studio bedroom!! Here’s just a sneak peek…

Hershey Park and Ace of Cakes

This past Saturday, I took my daughter and her girlfriend to HP for a day of fun and to see a cake demonstration by Duff Goldman from the tv show Ace of Cakes. It was a beautiful day although a bit windy (so what else is new for Central PA). We rode almost all the coasters and enjoyed seeing Duff and most of his crew make a special “Hershey” themed tiered cake. We didn’t catch any fondant or t-shirts that they were throwing out to the audience and unfortunately, didn’t get to sample the cake. But it was great seeing them construct a cake in real time.

My son had the honor of two of his art pieces being chosen to for his recent High School Art show. The first was a sculpture based on the works of Tim Burton and the second was a pastel self-portrait. He didn’t really even want to take art class this semester and it has become one of his favorites. We are so proud of him and I love that my kids are so creative!

Jimmy/HACC Graduate-RIT Bound

I had the pleasure of photographing Jimmy who is graduating from HACC and will be attending RIT in the the Fall. He wanted to celebrate with graduation pictures. We did the studio formals for Mom and some fun outdoor images for him. He was pretty patient for a guy and even brought outfit changes and props too. He brought his bass which he plays in his band Dove of War. Here’s your sneak peek Jimmy , Enjoy!

Krystal/Cumberland Valley-2011 Senior Rep

I had the pleasure of photographing Krystal for her modeling shoot last night. We had so much fun hanging around old rusty trucks and she was not afraid to climb on top of them. Love her!
